Mention Dave Caley to country music fans and they'll tell you this about the country music singer: He's got a heart of gold, he's pure country and he plays a mean country fiddle. They'll also remind you that he doesn't appear anywhere without his signature hat. Judging by the number of new fans every year, it's no wonder Dave Caley has become one of the hottest stars on the country scene.
Born in Blackpool, England and raised in the United States, Dave entered country music as a singer and fiddler for a bluegrass band in the Midwest. In the decade since, he's become a Nashville recording and performing artist, appearing on stage with greats like Vince Gill, Rhett Akins, Joe Stamply, Louise Mandrell, Confederate Railroad, Pam Tillis, Doug Stone, Johnny Paycheck, Radney Foster, Tammy Wynette, Hal Ketchum, Pirates of the Mississippi, Ken Mellons, Jo-El Sonnier, Brad Paisley, Johnny Rodriquez , Rare Earth, Classics 4 and several Grand Ole Opry acts. He also appeared at the famous Nashville Palace. His songs about life backstage at the Grand Ole Opry became the first music video backstage at the country music landmark. The video, starring Porter Wagnor, Lorrie Morgan, and the late Keith Whitley was widely seen across the nation on the Nashville Network's TNN "Video Country" and "Shotgun Red" programs. Dave was a featured guest on these programs. Dave Caley has been in five other videos featuring his original tunes, including Honky Tonkin' the Night Away, his trademark song about working on the assembly line. "This song is for all the people who work for a living," he says.
"Dave's music comes across as pure, honest country," says Tim Brown, an award winning country music radio DJ. "He is instantly liked by fans and their phone calls have made him one of the top requested artists in our rotation. When songs generate calls by listeners, that's a good sign of the artist's success." Dave has had several songs released in Europe. The songs are playing in sixteen countries and are at the top of the charts. Based in Indiana, Dave Caley and his band are a popular opening act for many country stars. He has headlined his own shows as well, including the World Hot Air Balloon Championship in Battle Creek, Michigan and a number of festivals and special events all across the United States. Dave resides in Kokomo, Indiana with his wife Christina, and travels frequently to Nashville.
